The Rainsville First Family is just that…we’re family!

It’s our greatest desire to be a family that is real, transparent, and a family that is growing daily in Christ. Our mission is to first engage with God in ways that are relevant and life-changing. We seek to be disciples of Jesus Christ, and we seek to be disciples who make disciples…transforming the lives of those around us with the great love of our Lord.

Our Mission

Glorifying God by Transforming Lives Through the Gospel and Discipleship

Discipleship (following Jesus) is the heart of our church.

We desire to make more for the Kingdom of God than simple church members. We have a passion to see people walk as Jesus walked, following closely to His example, because they have been discipled in His Word.

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit…” Matthew 28:19

Everything is about the heart. Our life, service, and worship comes out of our overflowing heart.

We come together to worship a mighty God, and we want to develop a lifestyle of authentic worship among God’s people…worship that bursts forth from a heart that is truly overflowing with a passionate love for Jesus.

“My heart overflows with a pleasing theme. I address my verses to the King; My tongue is like the pen of a ready scribe.” Psalm 45:1

“Whoever believes in Me as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.'” John 7:38

We welcome everyone and we open our hearts in transparency and accountability to one another.

We desire to offer a place for God’s people to connect with one another in family-type relationships that grow and flourish for a lifetime, nurtured through discipleship, worship, fellowship, and service to God.

“So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the cornerstone, in Whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. In Him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit.” Ephesians 2:19-22

We reach out for zealous service as servants to one another, our community, and our world.

God’s commands to us include spreading the Gospel and compassionately loving a world hurting and in need. He has also commanded us to serve, and we desire to be a church zealous for serving those in our own church, our community, and our world.

“…Who (Jesus Christ) gave Himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession who are zealous for good works.” Titus 2:14

“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10
